Museum of D. Solomos and A. Kalvos
The museum was founded in 1959 and it is located in the striking St. Marco square and it is very famous since it keeps the relic of the two poets Dionysios Solomos and Andreas Kalvos, real national symbols. You can admire many portraits dedicated to the most important people of the island and a collection of coats of arms.
Enjoy the great weather on the sunniest island in the Mediterranean, and let yourself be swept away by the rhythms of Zakynthian life. From the one side mountain villages, pine covered mountains and fertile valleys and on the other cosmopolitan beaches, dramatic cliffs and caves. Have a swim at the wide sandy beaches in the company of sea turtles, or go for snorkeling or scuba diving between rocks and in underwater caves. Zakynthos manages every time to charm visitors with its many faces. Discover them all.
With the mild Mediterranean climate and planned conservation efforts, the island is known for dense and rich vegetation and beautiful sandy beaches. A beautiful white, rocky copper, or brown sand endures the countless waves of the beautiful Ionian sea. The color of the sea here varies from deep blue to light turquoise, and the change of color sometimes happen in a few feet. Visit the famous 'Shipwreck' and the other gorgeous beaches of the island.
